When you walk into the hallway at the front entrance, you will see this Nativity scene to the left.  This time of year the hallway gets cluttered, probably just like yours at home, with decorations going here and there.  We are also preparing for the annual Christmas Bazaar at school, so there are piles of beautifully wrapped presents, large and small, everywhere.  But this photo places all of our academic and spiritual efforts into its proper context.  Marion was happy to pose for me when I took this picture and her smile says it all. The joy of loving Jesus is what Christmas is all about. And the joy of loving Jesus during the school day is what makes Good Shepherd distinctive from any other school in town.  As the world gets closer to Christmas, may the joy of loving Jesus displace all the hustle and bustle that can turn any one of us into Grinches.
