I love the concentration in this photo of Grayson and Richard doing work. One of the biggest challenges as a teacher every day is to keep the kids focused on doing their work, focused on doing their homework and focused on studying for tests. I know the feeling! I am constantly distracted all day while trying to get work done myself. My distractions are both exterior and interior and some days I feel like I don't get anything successfully accomplished. We all have to learn, as children and as adults, how to keep focused and how to minimize distractions.

     We do a lot of "time management" discussion in our class and I hope that my students will begin now as children to learn how to focus on tasks and to complete them so that they may one day become successful adults who also can focus and complete tasks whose responsibilities become more and more important.
