You can tell when a teacher truly has a vocation for teaching.  It's not just being "nice. It's setting expectations, teaching information, and creating relationships that push the students out of the academic nest into the world as confident young men and women. And, it is not indoctrination into the latest cultural ideologies, but equipping them with the skills of critical thinking, reading, speaking and writing. Every day I see teachers at Good Shepherd who set these expectations and how the students respond to them.  When this photo was taken, the students insisted that their teacher be in it. Kids know sincerity and they know when a teacher really has at heart their best interests and welfare. That can't be faked.
