This week I am at St. Anne’s Shrine in Isle La Motte, VT on vacation. I had a great surprise while I was here. The Catholic School Principals were having their annual retreat with Mr. David Young, the Superintendent of Catholic Schools. I know almost all of the principals, including our own Mrs. Cartularo. I can tell you that they are a very sincere and committed group of men and women. They are sincere in their mutual goal of providing the best Catholic education for Vermont children at both the elementary and high school levels. I can also tell you that most of them wear multiple hats at their jobs doing work that goes above and beyond the call of duty--that you wouldn’t find most “executives” doing. I am very proud of them and of Mrs. Cartularlo. I prayed the whole week to St. Anne that she may obtain special blessings from her grandson, Jesus, for our principals and for all of our schools scattered throughout the Diocese of Burlington.
