Ethan Roberts graduated from Good Shepherd in 2013. He told me that his time at GSCS contained some of the most formative moments in (his) young life. Specifically, that formation included the beginning of a high quality education, virtuous friendships and a foundation in prayer and the sacraments. He attended Mass with his classmates every Thursday morning at St. John's Church and played pickup basketball at recess with his friends. In the classroom, he especially remembers studying Hamlet and Macbeth in English class.
Ethan is one of the most well rounded young men I have ever met. At Lyndon Institute, he was a scholar, musician and athlete. His intellectual pursuits in college were extremely demanding. In 2022, he graduated from Columbia University with a BS in Electrical Engineering--in addition to graduating with a BS in Mathematics, Engineering and Physics from St. Lawrence University!
Ethan is currently working as a FOCUS missionary (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) at the University of Connecticut. He works with college students helping them to grow into mature young men and women in their Catholic Faith through Bible studies, fellowship, retreats and mentorship.
I would like to thank Doug and Laurie Roberts for sending their son to GSCS and his teachers at that time. We are all proud of you, Ethan, and the education that GSCS has provided for you to become an impressive alumnus.
