Vanessa and her family moved from Oklahoma to Vermont in 2023. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and a teacher’s license with the state of Vermont. This will be her 9th year teaching middle and high school grades in both public and private school settings. She spent 11 years homeschooling her own 6 children, 2 of whom are now grown. She and her husband met in high school and married not long after. She loves gardening, decorating, documenting nature through writing and photography, family movie nights with a favorite home cooked meal and anytime spent with her family.

She is excited to join the Good Shepherd community. Vanessa fosters a calm and caring classroom atmosphere while building relationships and helping students learn and grow. She is so excited to get to teach science and social studies through the lens of faith and the hope we have in Jesus.
