Melissa is excited to be teaching grades 1 and 2 as well as art at Good Shepherd this year. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Delaware and has been teaching for over 22 years. Most of her experience has been in Catholic schools, and she finds this environment to be where she thrives.

Melissa has been passionate about the arts since she was very young and has taught art for many years. She moved to St. Johnsbury in 2021 at which time her daughter, Annabeth, joined GSCS for 8th grade. She lives with her husband Matt, her son Wyatt, who attends UVM, and Annabeth, who attends St. Johnsbury Academy. Melissa enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, visiting art museums, and spending time with her dogs, Lilly and Gunner. She recently took up snowboarding and paddleboarding and is enjoying all the outdoor activities Vermont has to offer.
