Mr. Bilik has been interested in Biology from an early age, first collecting snakes and bugs at home and later attending Earlham College as a Biology major. He then worked at zoos and in research at Emory University, where he met his wife. After that, he and his wife moved to Washington State where he built a cabin on Lummi island and a yurt on Sinclair Island. They raised kids on the island after the oldest graduated from school, they went to China where he taught English at Harbin University. They were able to see the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and stayed in China for several more years.
Since then, he moved to Vermont and taught at Lyndon Institute as well as Barton Academy and Graded School.
