Walking Arm-in-Arm

I love this photo of Kenzie and Auron walking arm-in-arm as they were getting ready for the 2025 Walk for Alzheimer's. Good Shepherd Catholic School has long participated in this fundraiser to end Alzheimer's Disease.  A Catholic school gives life to a community.  It is not an island unto its own or a privileged ivory tower. Because it is a Catholic school which draws its life from Jesus Christ, it is the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Christians live in the world but are not of the world, as Jesus says.  That means that the goal of every Catholic school student is to bring the light of Christ into the world by a life of faith, hope and charity. I hope that that is the life lesson our students are learning.  As fun as walks, races and other fundraisers may be, I hope that they are learning that the Christian life is a life of service to others. As you can tell from the smile on the girls' faces, they are happy to walk arm-in-arm bringing the light of Christ into the world — or at least into St. Johnsbury.
