Sleigh Riding

I have always loved sleighs.  They remind me of Christmas, horses with bells, families bundled up in fur coats going to Midnight Mass on freshly fallen snow.  Then reality hits: freezing cold weather or sleet, getting stuck or flipping over, unruly horses, and freezing cold feet and hands.  Somewhere between romanticism and reality there is a happy place.  That happy place for me is the St. Johnsbury History and Heritage Museum. Father Harlow's 5th and 6th Grade Religion class visited the Museum this September and saw some beautiful workmanship. Life at school can be a struggle between romanticism and reality as kids learn to balance the fine lines between friends, ex-friends, emotions, failures and victories.  In the end it all becomes a balance of finding that happy place where idealism is not smothered and reality is not overwhelming. At Good Shepherd Catholic School we help students every day with that balance and hopefully somedays we are that happy place for them. Your donation is God's gift to them and to us. Thank you for donating to our school. We couldn't do it without you.
