I love this picture that I took at the Canterbury Inn in St. Johnsbury. The Activities Director, Yvette, invited my class to come and help the residents write cards to their new "pen pals" in 1st and 2nd Grade at Good Shepherd. I picked four of my best spellers to come down and help. Pictured here in the foreground is David with Laura in the background. David is helping a lady who is a retired school teacher and principal. She is currently in her 90s. She is still very sharp and loved telling us stories about her teaching days. I also took with us that day Hope and David. (To see more pictures go to the GSCS Facebook page.) I told the kids after our visit how proud I was of them. The elderly residents were strangers to them, but the students were warm, charitable, polite, helpful and kind. Good Shepherd Catholic School raises extraordinary kids. Your financial contribution to the school makes all of this possible. God bless you!
