During Catholic Schools Week, students in grades 1-6 made posters which I displayed at St. John Church throughout the week. I have chosen this picture by 2nd Grader Kenzie for this week's blog. Although it is not as colorful as some of the other posters, her message gets straight to the point. It reads: "I love GSCS because it is safe. I like to pray." It is direct, powerful, touching and revelatory. She has found a school where both body and soul are flourishing.
Many students commented in their posters that they feel safe at our school. Other comments include loving their teachers, loving their friends, good food, academics and sports. What a perfect, well-rounded vision they have of Good Shepherd Catholic School. Congratulations to all the hardworking teachers, staff, volunteers and benefactors who make Good Shepherd a school where children feel safe, loved and inspired to learn.
