One of the nice traditions at Good Shepherd Catholic School is the annual Mother's Day recognition with its "Muffins for Moms" and presentation of flowers for the mothers. It's a thoughtful reminder for the students of all the sacrifices their mothers make for them. Even as adults, we may not always be cognizant of what our mothers have done for us throughout the course of our lifetime. With age, maturity and possibly with some of us becoming parents, will we appreciate the vocation to motherhood. Marion and Ivy in this photo are enjoying a muffin and taking a break from entertaining. Perhaps one day they will have children who will make muffins for them.
