I love this First Holy Communion photo taken at St. John's Church. Pictured are three of our Good Shepherd Catholic School students: Lennox, Kenzie and William. Deacon Tom and I are also pictured. Catholic education has always been a blessing for help in raising children in the Faith. It has also been a means by which nonCatholics see the beauty of our Catholic Faith and want to join the Church.
A Catholic school, when it is well executed, should bring religion into every academic discipline because God's influence permeates all of reality--seen and unseen. I pray for all of our First Communicants, from Good Shepherd and from the parishes, that they may always remain close to Jesus in the practice of their Catholic Faith by attending Mass, Confessions, by daily prayers and works of mercy. In this manner, they will have the capacity to become great saints.
Thank you to all of our donors who support GSCS. You are building up future saints! If you haven't made a donation for the month of May, you may consider making one in honor of our First Communicants!
