I love this photo taken at the Community Champions ceremony this spring at Good Shepherd.  Students Madeline and Norah flank on either side Casey Leithead, a.k.a., "Coach Casey."  Casey is the school's gym teacher when he isn't busy managing his own excavation company, supervising employees at multiple job sites, or working in the sweltering heat or freezing cold.  He is a valued member of the Good Shepherd Catholic School community serving on the School Board in addition to being a member of the teaching staff. Despite all of this, he remains one of the most humble and loyal men I've ever met.

Casey is involved with numerous community projects and athletics. It's thanks to parents like him who donate their "extra" time to teaching that makes Good Shepherd such a family and faith-centered school.  I know that Coach Casey inspires me to go above and beyond.  His leadership sets the tone for a lot of us.
