I love this picture of Riley in 2nd Grade examining with her pretty pink magnifying glass this caterpillar in hopes of its eventual metamorphosis. Science at Good Shepherd Catholic School is part of the curriculum early on in our students' education and it opens for them an entire new world of learning about the wonders of creation, as well as theological evidence for God, the Creator.  I hope that Riley will always have a love for science.  I can see her one day sitting at a laboratory bench discovering the cure for cancer!  She may even have that pretty pink magnifying glass close at hand as a reminder of her first love for science at GSCS. It may even have a butterfly decal on it.
