I love this picture of Carson and Grand Knight Dan Rooker.  The photo was taken after Mass at Queen of Peace Church in Danville. Dan is presenting Carson with a scholarship from the Sheridan Council Knights of Columbus as Carson is graduating from high school this year. Carson was among my first students when I started at Good Shepherd Catholic School and he graduated from GSCS in 2022.  More importantly, he has been my faithful altar server at the 8:00 AM Mass in Danville every Sunday morning.  He has been faithful, reliable and mostly awake for that early morning Mass.

I am very grateful to him, and to his parents, for his assistance.  I am also proud of him that the Knights of Columbus recognized his devotion to his Catholic Faith in awarding him this scholarship.  I will miss him at my right side once he leaves Vermont for college.  I hope that he will take with him happy memories of his days with us at Good Shepherd and also as an altar server. As an alumnus of GSCS, I hope he will support the school financially so we can train more generations of altar servers!
